At Nova Sporting Clays we offer an introductory package for those interested in exploring the sport: TRY A ROUND! As well, we offer instruction for individuals and small groups.
BASIC INSTRUCTION FOR BEGINNERS
This includes safe firearm handling, course etiquette, rules of the game, gun fit, stance and shot execution. This is designed to take you from never having shot clay targets to confidently breaking a variety of targets on our course. The pace of instruction is personalized, and the goal is to have you safely breaking targets and having fun.
INSTRUCTION AND COACHING FOR NOVICE TO INTERMEDIATE SHOOTERS
For those with some experience shooting, or interested in beginning to compete or up your present game, we will cover target reading, shot planning, and pre-shot routine. We will explore strategies for various target presentations, preparation for competition, and ways to build your score.
Individual instruction is $30 per hour, $15 for those under 18. Initial sessions will be 90 minutes for the same price.
Group rates will be negotiated dependent on the number of individuals and their levels of experience.
Costs quoted are for instruction only. Targets and ammunition are not included.
Loaner shotguns are available with prior arrangement.
Use of a ShotKam™ is available. An additional fee will be charged.
All students will be provided with lesson recap notes and a recommended plan for development as a shooter.
